The New Moon occurs tomorrow, April 5th in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac which begins the astrological new year cycle. If we live intuitively rather than according to the Gregorian calendar, this marks the onset of creation and new!
In my previously provided tips for clearing and cleaning. Marie Kondo’s also around reminding us to ask, “Does this bring me joy?” as you deliberate, extend gratitude, then toss! Getting rid of past memories and “junk” then moving on can be difficult, but it’s necessary. I tell myself all the time, “I’m not a tree” and have the freedom to pick up and go, even if it takes me a few years to get going.
This New Moon is a fabulous time for some fun rituals. Weather permitting, get the fire pit lit, write up a list of things, behaviors, situations, circumstances, and people, you want to remove from your life. Burn it and wish them and it all well while sending them off in light and love!
Use your aromatherapy oils and candles to create a mood. Play some empowering music while visualizing yourself in your new life with your new circumstances. Call it in! You’ve probably seen enough movies to know that our ancestors knew the power of calling inMagic through dance and rituals!
